The project included construction of a large Trex Enhance Basics composite deck, new pressure-treated framing, wood railings with black aluminum balusters, two sets of stairs, and a covered 16′ × 16′ porch. Butyl joist tape was installed over the deck framing to help protect the structure from moisture and extend its service life.
The covered porch adds a comfortable shaded area with a tongue-and-groove pine ceiling, two ceiling fans, wrapped structural posts, and a shingle roof designed to coordinate with the existing home.
